One of my favorite movie cliches is the “trapped in an alley” scenario. You can be the chaser or the chased but it seems that many movies have these dead end alleys in them where people are drawn like magnets to run when fleeing something. Usually it ends with a half hearted attempt to climb a fence followed by being pulled back down by the chaser. Or, it’s a police officer who says something like “I’m getting too old for this shit” and chases the guy down the alley, almost gets him buuuuut he’s not nimble enough to climb the fence. In this case the chased person will stop at the other side of the fence and give a snarky look before taking off.
