I wish I had read the Hitchhiker series of books years ago (see the links on “reading this stuff”). This guy was just an amazing writer with a great sense of humor. Really someone who I wish I had met.
Anyway, I’m trying to finish ‘the trilogy” (actually 5 books) before the movie comes out this May. Trailer here
By far my favorite author. His two Dirk Gently “mystery” books are great too. But his book relased after his death, a compilation of stuff his editor found on his mac, “The Salmon of Doubt” has some really great stories.
Cool Bri! Someone gave me the Salmon of Doubt audio book recently. It’s what really turned me onto Adams. I’ll have to get the Dirk Gently books after Hitchhiker.
Almost finished “The Restaurant…” last night.
I am a long time fan of Douglas Adams. I have met him three times at various book signings. I would also suggest reading “Last Chance to See” There is a passage about a melbourne man that will absolutely crack you up.
