Oh noooo! It seems that the Weekly World News will be publishing their last edition on August 27th. So sad. I found it a refreshing contrast to have a tabloid that you know was TOTAL baloney next to the others that you are pretty sure are 90% so. It was the Weekly World News that gave me the inspiration for the design of a tradeshow handout for a project I worked on last year (see image on the right). I also wasted more than a few hours back in college reading this wonderful rag while working at a convenience store, maybe if I was watching the customers instead I wouldn’t have been robbed so many times, but I digress. So long WWN, I don’t know how I’ll track what Elvis is up to or how many Senators are space aliens, but I’ll try to get along.
