Sinead O’Connor, the pope’s apology for sex abuse in Ireland seems hollow

March27

Perhaps people didn’t understand what Sinead was doing or trying to express on Saturday Night Live when she tore up a picture of the Pope many years ago. Guess what, it turns out she was being extremely brave and speaking from experience. Would that I could have that amount of bravery. To stand up for something when it’s unpopular and perhaps unbelievable takes more strenghth than I can imagine. I’ve only known one person who can do that.

She is truly an amazing woman. Her critics owe her apologies and thanks.
